Café Rosa Restaurant in the Isle of Man

If you are looking for an excellent location to dine with good service by efficient, friendly staff, delectable food more than ample portions and nice atmosphere then Cafe Rosa is the restaurant you must try.

Café Rosa is famous for its two courses set price menus offering a wide choice of mains, with everything from hot from the grill through to Sirloin Steaks. But, the main attraction at this restaurant is the most extensive choice of their homemade desserts that owner, Rosa, bakes using Laxey Glen Mill Flour and local free range eggs. Every dessert is presented very well with patterned sauce garnishes, handmade chocolate tuilles and with local ice cream and cream.

My parents and I went there for lunch, and we tried the £30 two-course set menu included the Tea or Coffee. I know it’s quite expensive. However, the pure quality of the food and the very heartwarming staff it is worth it. Also, you are welcome to bring your wine.

The restaurant is a little difficult to find. But, I’m glad that we went there without a hassle. Thanks to google map for directing me in the right direction. 😀

If you get there, you can see that the dining room is not posh but feels comfortable. It’s like you are dining in someone’s home. The menu is extensive. So, there’s a chance you have lost of choice in main courses.

For the main meal, we tried to order
Grilled Halibut Steak separate dish of 8 seared king prawns in extra virgin oil, garlic and parsley with a side dish of vegetables

and Thick Cut Sirloin Steak with a side dish of red wine gravy, Yorkshire pudding, sausage, vegetables and chips.

Rosa gives personal attention to all of her customers, and the meals all arrived together, they are all piping hot and all delicious.
I can tell that the portions are large especially the steak. The only complaint you can have is how you can finish the big meal. 😀
So better to eat here if you are starving. But, the food was beautifully cooked and had a lovely home cooked taste.

The desserts are too good to miss out. So we tried
Creme Caramel with Local Ice cream and cream

Custard cream slice with local ice cream and cream

Layered Fruit Cake Slice with local ice cream and cream

One word: Yummy! ^_^
I have a happy tummy.  🙂

I will definitely go back to Rosa’s- heaven on a plate!

And also you must visit them as well. 🙂
