I always think to myself “Gosh, I want to travel somewhere hot!”.
Don’t we all?
But when I think about it, travelling to some hot place would mean I’d miss out on many of the things about Autumn.
Autumn is my favourite season and the best season of all because it is electric.
I love the crispiness of it. The leaves from the trees transform into multi-coloured works of art and fall away which is revealing the perfect scenery.
The air is fresh and energetic, the heaviness of summer faded, breathing comes more easily. Sweat doesn’t haunt every fissure of your body, and your clothes are not damp after a long day at work.
This beautiful season indeed holds a special place in my heart, and here’s why:
1 | THE BEAUTIFUL COLOURS
Even if fall is not your favourite season, you have to accept that the colours are amazing. It’s just one day the trees are green and in full bloom and next they have begun turning to a golden brown or a deep, rapturous red.
It takes my breath away.
2 | COZINESS
A cold starts, so it’s time for layering and wears scarves, gloves and boots. You already have an excuse to put your pyjamas on while drinking hot chocolate or tea and snuggle under a duvet to watch movies together when you get home from work.
3 | WALKS IN CRISP LEAVES
One of my favourite fall activities is going in the forest. There is just something beautiful about taking a long walk in the woods with an autumn breeze blowing the leaves around your feet while you do.
4 | AUTUMN OUTFIT
In the summertime, it’s all about keeping fresh, but in the fall it’s all about the layers.
Please forgive me, but I indeed prefer dressing for the autumn weather than getting adorable attire for summer heat. Besides, all of my fall or winter clothes are so much adorable anyway. 🙂
Fall fashion is the best. Woollen scarves, beanies, leather gloves, long sleeve top, jeans, cardigans, tights, boots. There are so many options to layer up and stay warm during the autumn months. Plus, fall clothes look good on everyone.
5 | BONFIRE AND FIREWORKS NIGHT
It is also the perfect weather to have bonfires, and this is fun to watch every year too. November is the month brings some one-off events like Guy Fawkes Day or Bonfire Night. Celebrated annually on the 5th of November with fireworks throughout the city.
How can you not adore all of this? I am already feeling the excitement for this incredible season!
